Jose Algara is a product and technology executive with deep expertise in building and scaling enterprise platforms for complex supply chain and logistics ecosystems. As Vice President of Supply Chain and Inventory Management at Nordstrom, he leads the product strategy, roadmap, and delivery of core systems—including Inventory Management, Warehouse Management, Transportation Management, Carrier Management and Fulfillment Optimization—to enable a seamless omni-channel customer experience. His teams are driving innovation in inventory allocation and positioning, fulfillment optimization, leveraging AI/ML to enhance automation, inventory accuracy, and operational throughput.

Previously, Jose held senior product leadership roles at Amazon, where he led global tech programs powering last-mile delivery, grocery and general merchandise fulfillment. He built and scaled the systems behind Amazon Flex and Prime Now, including capacity planning, driver engagement, and delivery scheduling tools that support operations in over 350 fulfillment centers and 100+ cities worldwide.

Jose also brings global freight experience, having led product and tech organizations at Flexport and Maersk. At Flexport, he launched digital pallet-level solutions for SMB shippers, while at Maersk he led the digital transformation portfolio for ocean logistics, focusing on network planning, capacity optimization, and tech-enabled service delivery.

With a career spanning retail, e-commerce, freight, and startups, Jose is known for delivering high-impact, scalable tech solutions at the intersection of customer experience, logistics, and product innovation. He holds an MBA from IE Business School and a Mechatronic Engineering degree from ITESM Monterrey.
