Adrian Simpson is Head of Policy & Membership at RoSPA, leading national efforts to reduce accidental harm through evidence-based policy, strategic partnerships, and member engagement. A former Trading Standards officer and Non-Executive Director of the Chartered Trading Standards Institute, he brings deep expertise in regulation, enforcement, and consumer protection. Before joining RoSPA, he led non-food policy at the British Retail Consortium, shaping the sector’s response to major regulatory changes including the UK Product Safety Review and UKCA marking. He now chairs the BS EN 1970 working group for hot water bottle safety and contributes to RoSPA’s National Accident Prevention Strategy. Adrian is passionate about embedding safety into commercial operations and helping organisations turn risk reduction into strategic advantage - especially in high-risk retail and logistics environments.
