Locus Origin is a collaborative autonomous mobile robot (AMR) specifically designed for high-volume picking and fulfilment processes in dynamic warehouse environments. Using a multi-robot approach, Locus Origin supports collaboration between people and robots, reducing unproductive walking time to sustainably increase productivity.

Thanks to its compact design and high manoeuvrability, Locus Origin is well suited to narrow aisles, complex layouts, and both brownfield and greenfield environments. The robot can be flexibly configured with multi-level shelving systems and a wide range of container types, including tote arrays, bulk bins, and shipping cartons. This allows Origin to adapt to different product ranges, order profiles, and workflows.

A key capability of Locus Origin is dynamic task interleaving. The robot can seamlessly combine picking tasks with putaway and replenishment processes, enabling the same workforce to efficiently manage multiple workflows in parallel.

Origin is controlled through the AI-powered LocusONE™ platform, which prioritises tasks in real time, centrally coordinates robot fleets, and continuously optimises performance. This provides warehouse operators with a scalable automation solution that integrates seamlessly with existing warehouse management systems and helps reduce operational bottlenecks.

To support rapid deployment, Locus Origin is designed for ease of use and high user adoption. Its onboard user interface enables very short training times, while support for numerous languages facilitates deployment across international and seasonal workforces.
