Mobile Industrial Robots’ (MiR) MC600 mobile cobot drew interest from crowds at Automate 2025, just two weeks after winning a Robotics Innovation Award for leadership, technological innovation, and industry impact.
“With a high payload capacity and larger workspace coverage, the MC600 mobile manipulator is ideal for tasks across manufacturing, logistics and warehousing,” said President of MiR Kevin Dumas. “Its ability to reduce hands-on handling of heavy objects and extend automation beyond fixed robotics cells delivers the flexibility needed in fast-paced industrial environments.”
MiR showcased the MC600’s autonomous pallet transportation and palletizing/de-palletizing capabilities live at Automate. The mobile cobot, powered by MiR Go partner Enabled Robotics, stands out for its integration of a UR20 or UR30 collaborative robot from Universal Robots with a MiR600 autonomous mobile robot, tackling a key industry challenge – mobility.
“By integrating the ‘legs’ of a mobile robot with the ‘arms’ of a cobot, the MC600 addresses multiple automation workflow challenges such as palletizing and machine tending with one system,” Jean-Pierre Hathout, former President of MiR and current President of Universal Robots, told The Robot Report.
